From my experience, this is the smoothest time for a first visit. The weather usually makes island plans feel easier, lighter, and more enjoyable.

• Usually brings more sunny days and less rain

Still, it is not always a washout. You may get short downpours instead of full rainy days, and mornings can still be good for going out.

• A Snorkel for easier and more comfortable underwater trips
• Your own Sunscreen, since it can be expensive or unreliable locally
• A Dry Bag to protect your things from sand, salt, and water
• A Travel Towel that dries fast and takes up little space

Crocs are especially useful on uneven paths and around waterfalls. A good water-friendly shoe can save your feet and make long days much easier.

A personal Snorkel set is also worth bringing for the best snorkelling spots. It saves you from rental gear that may not always feel clean or high-quality.

I would never skip Sunscreen now. Bringing your own feels safer, and it is often the better choice in the Philippines.
